Subject: ordering product and acrylics
Message: Hi there,
I just had acrylics put on and now I plan to remove them. I"ll keep them for a few weeks until they would otherwise need filling, but instead I'll remove them.
Is there any point with starting the growth/strengthening product on sale at this website when I have acrylics on my nails? Will it lessen the ongoing damage to my nails?

Message: RSF,
you won't get the full benefit of using the NGF as you would on your own, bare nails, but it can start helping your cuticles. why have you decided to wait a few weeks to remove them? i'm just curious. the damage done to your own nail bed before they put them on, the roughing up, is what damaged your own nails to begin with-along with the acid primer, dehydrater and chemical concoction of acrylic and monomer. the sooner you remove the acrylic, the quicker that will start to heal.

Message: rheostaticsfan,
You of course can use the product to begin re-hydrating the cuticles. But the damage beneath the fakes will not heal up under the chemical cocktail. If you were thinking that it would be OK to continue wearing and applying and reapplying the acrylics, and the growth formula would somehow keep your nails safe from the damage, infections and dehydration, I am afraid you will be throwing your money in the wind. Nothing will prevent the damage done with those things, but the Natural Nails Growth Formula will absolutely help them recover once you have made the decision and follow through with the removal of the topical treatments. Keep in mind that the longer you wear them, the more the damaging effects! It is your call. Be wise while considering your options.

Message: No I didn't think I'd be preventing damage. What I'm hoping is that whatever damage these acrylics are going to do is done already (in the application). As long as I remove them when I would otherwise have gone for a filling/touch up then I shouldn't be adding any more damage than getting them on in the first place, so why not enjoy them for the couple weeks they'll last?
I just wondered if using the product now would help the regrowth be healthier and faster. I understand that the whole nail won't benefit (since it's covered up) but only the cuticle and the increasing space as the nail grows.

Message: If you use the product while wearing the topical treatments it will improve the cuticles and it will in fact begin to speed up the cell activity. Just concentrate your efforts on the matrix. That is where the cells do their magic! And I think you should go ahead and enjoy them if that is what you want to do! God knows they cost enough I'm sure. So enjoy, but be cautious not to snag the nails while they are growing out without the fill in. Take care to re hydrate as soon and as often as you can. That will make a world of difference with those cuticles.
