Subject: Nails breaking
Message: I looked on the forum and didn't see my specific problem discussed. I've never had nice nails. They are brittle and peel and split. I try to oil them regularly and file them straight across, only smoothing the ends at the side. My big probles is that my nails break about halfway down to the cuticle at the side. Obviously I am not filing that far down because I can't reach there, and I don't use my nails for screwdrivers or levers!! I'll baby them and all of a sudden a crack appears halfway down and I can't do anything about it. I know the nail will break off as soon as it grows out to that point. Does anyone else have this problem or conquered this???
I haven't tried these products but am going to order the kit right now. If I can't stop the breaking, at least they can look good in between breaks!

Message: KathyK,
The products will rehydrate the nails and make and keep the cuticles soft and supple. You nails will always be "breakable", but if they are well hydrated they will in fact have more flexability.

Message: KathyK,
your nails just sound very dehydrated. the growth formula will add it back. you will be amazed. until i started using it i really didn't know how much they needed the moisture. the file will seal any ragged edges and you will see a difference in them not cracking. be faithful in using it twice a day for 30 days. that is the secret to a good, healthy beginning. a little goes a long way.

Message: Thanks for the suggestions. I'll be sure to use the products faithfully and update you on the results. It's kinda funny because I have been told by manicurists that 1. my nails are too dry and 2. my nails are too oily. Obviously the opinions were from different people! I tried acrylics, gels and wraps but they do not stay on my nails and lift, which causes all kinds of ugly problems. I have tried to have good looking "real nails" for years and now hope is on the way! Teriffic.
