Subject: Removing acrylic nails Please read
Message: Hi, thought I would tell you ladies about what happened to my aunt when she was removing her acyylic nails. She woke up early and decided to soak her nails off with pure acetone. SHe had the bowl in her lap soaking them. She then reached over to light a candle and it exploded
and she was very badly burned. She was taken by helicopter to the Agusta Burn center and was in a coma for three months. SHe is now home and doing fairly well. SHe still has a very long recovery ahead. So please be careful using this product. Debbie

Message: Debbie,
yes, acetone is not something to take lightly. i'm so sorry she had to endure that. it is with a lot of trepidation i say pure acetone when removing these fakes. it is the only remover that works and it can be lethal, which makes one wonder why it's the only chemical strong enough to melt these away.

Message: Hi Debbie,
I'm so sorry about your aunt. What a tragic thing to happen. Thank you for sharing this information with all of us who visit this forum. It made me think of the women who smoke; they might decide to light up while they are sitting there waiting for the acetone to loosen the acrylic. Give your aunt my best wishes for a full recovery.

Message: Debbie,
I'm so sorry to hear about your aunt. What happened to her was very tragic. I know that acetone is flammable and it should not be used around a lit candle or a cigarette. I hope your aunt has a full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with her.
