 Subject: pinky fingernail

About 4-6 weeks ago I slammed my pinky finger in the trunk of my car. It hurt tremendously and turned very black. About 2 weeks later the entire nail fell off. Will it grow back? If so, how long will it take?

Your pinky fingernail will grow back, but it'll take some time, so please be patient. 2 years ago, my brother stepped on my big toe. Half of my toenail ripped off and there was blood everywhere. A few weeks later, my entire toenail fell off, but it completely grew back in about 1 to 2 weeks. It can take as little as a few weeks or as long as a few months to grow a new nail, depending on how severely you injured it. Hope I helped!

I recently ripped my pinky nail off. It finally came all the way off. Its been about a month and it still hasn't grown back... but I tramatized the hell out of it... I can see signs of it starting to grow back... I guess we both have to be patient... it sucks but what cha gonna do.
