 Subject: Help! My fingernails are falling off!

Starting early last month, I had to apply a steroid cream to my hands to deal with an allergic reaction I had. Unfortunately, the doctor failed to warn me against getting the cream too near my nails.
Apparently, the cream got beneath my nails and killed the nail from beneath.
Now my nails are beginning to lift off my nailbeds.
I was wondering if anyone knew the best way for me to keep my existing nails attached to the nailbed for as long as possible and how to accelerate the growth of the new nail growing beneath.
I'm leaving for college next month and I'd hate to make weird first impressions due to my odd looking hands. I'm desperate - please help!

You are on a site called fingernailcare.com...If you will read some of the information provided you may find that this site provides a product to stimulate cell activity and promote growth and strengthening the nails.
Have you seen the doctor since he/she gave you the steroid cream? What did they say, and do you have any medical recourse here? Let us know....Looking to hear back.

I went to a dermatologist and she explained that what had happened to my nails was the result of a really. really bad sunburn i got in late June (which caused the allergic reaction.) Apparently, the skin beneath my nails got so hot that it actually blistered and that's what seperated the nailbed from the nail. However, since then, healthy nail has been growing; so about half of my nails look really gross, yellow, and fungus-y, but the bottom half looks healthy.
Basically, I just have to wait for the bad parts to grow out. (I'm keeping my nails painted.)

try the natural nails growth formula. it sounds like it could really help in your situation. seems like your nails are trying to heal and this will improve the new, healthy nail growing out so much.

That would be rather scary! I've just started with the natural nail growth cream (7 days now).
I would also encourage you to try it. Even my acrylic weakened areas are tougher - no longer peeling off like wet newspaper, no more sore cuticles - seems to have a healing affect.
There are too many 'success' stories here to just dismiss. I don't think anyone has anything to loose and everything to gain.
Just my humble opinion -
