Subject: Barbara & Cheryl

Message:
Barbara, I chose Priority Mail, so I'm guessing my package should make it to Minnesota by Saturday - with any kind luck!

I was going to keep several coats of polish on until new nail growth reached my fingertips.
SO:
1: Does the Nail Growth penetrate through polish if I do this or do I have to remove it for best results? I realize tomorrows shower will probably finish off what is left of my nail tips so I may just cut them off and get it over with.

2: Is it possible to develop an allergy to polish if one has become very allergic to the acrylic crap? I noticed my nails are feeling warm - the thinner most damaged one is actually bordering on burning. It's only been 5 hours since I polished.
I had hopes of keeping the tips from 'fraying' into the nailbed while they grow out.

It's been a LONG time since I'd been here. I can't believe how many people (in favor of) are asking about acrylics!

I just wish I had mailed in my payment last year and got started with your formula.

CHERYL: I wanted to tell you I have appreciated reading your candid 'story' about your trip to heck and back with acrylics. After this last round of itchy bumpy sores on my finger tips - well, lets just say no matter how beautifully done the nail is - the ugliness of swollen red itchy sore cuticles looks about as gorgeous as a Picaso with a charred splintered frame!

Barbara - thank you for caring people enough to bring your product to web! I'd be curious to hear your story - that brought you to this point.
Linda

there's not much on this forum that i didn't go through myself, with acrylics and years of nail biting. it's all the truth. to find a product that works this well, as promised, in this day and age, is pretty amazing.

Good Morning Linda and Cheryl,
First Linda...You most certainly may use the Growth Formula over the nail polish. The "target" area, if you will, is the matrix or base of the nails. This is the area that will stimulate cell activity with the Growth Formula. But make certain to apply and rub it into the while nail to provide the moisture barrier evenly. It will also help the cuticles to become soft and supple again, leaving those nasty hang nails behind as only a memory.
Cheryl will probably be the one that can answer the question regarding the reaction to the polish. Since I have personally never experienced the reactions, and I am not a health care provider, I can't really reply to that question with any real insight.
The reason I even got into this is due to the fact that my husband and I were refurbishing the home here in south Georgia and my hands were in chemicals like floor strippers and plaster. (I don't want to be a plasterer in my next life...LOL) Anyway the process of rebuilding the place, (it was originally built in 1907), tore up, and dried out my nails to the point I thought they would never be the same again....Long story short, we refined this formula over a period of a few years, until I was certain of its consistent results and then decided other would benefit too.
I really had no idea at all with regards to how many problems were under those acrylics until we established this forum. I was amazed at the problems, especially with the number of women I saw every day that were wearing them....I just want everyone to understand that if they invested as much emotionally, physically, and financially into taking care of their own nails, they could be at least as beautiful and as the fakes, and they would not present the medical problems that the fake nails continually produce.
Any way that is basically the long and short of it. There is more information on the "Home Page" and "About Us" on the website. In case you haven't browsed the site, do so....Just click on the "Return To Our Home Page " at the bottom of this page and follow those links....
Your order should be there with in 3 business days.
Thanks for joining into our forum discussion, it is much appreciated.

Thanks Barbara & Cheryl.

Cheryl: What are your thoughts on the nail polish and slight burning? This morning it still feels that way.

Barbara: I can almost imagine what the flooring & plaster did! Areas of my home are currently in various stages - and I thought just handling papers when I was a secretary was bad!

Out here in the sticks of rural farmland Minnesota, I can't imagine where I would have found help without your care to put up this website. Just VERY happy you were able to find a product and do able to work with someone to bring it to this point!

OH ANOTHER QUESTION: Regarding the buffing cream - I didn't order the buffer because I have one - does it matter much if the one I have is more of a chamois than cowhide? I should have been paying more attention when I ordered.

Sure wish you could offer Paypal or webchecking - but I understand wanting to keep the costs down.
Can't tell you how excited I am to finally be getting started with your formula!
Linda

Linda,
I would recommend that you not use a buffing cream at all until the tenderness, burning, and sensitivity have subsided. The nails are much too thin and weak to put more stress on them right now.
When you do begin the buffing, if you use our buffing cream, I recommend the smooth cowhide buffer because of the abrasive that is in the buffing cream. You don't want to thin the nails out further. You just want to smooth the surface. If you use the rough surface chamois you are basically doing double duty. The surface of the smooth buffer will not over do the "roughness" needed to smooth the nails. If you feel any discomfort whatsoever, discontinue the use of any buffing....Wait until the nails are healthy. We don't want to further the damage already done.
The reason I don't use the Paypal account is because there are so many hacker trying and succeeding, to break into everyones information I opted to use the Wells Fargo Gateway only. I set up a Paypal account before I started with Wells Fargo, and almost immediately I began to receive fraudulent requests to verify, update, my account....Now the only way they could even know if I have a Paypal account is if someone has access to at least some of the information I provided them....As a result I am sticking with the Lightbridge Gateway and Wells Fargo. I have never, not even once, received anything out side of authorized communications. And the security of my client information is the most important part of this operation. Thanks for asking. I hope this makes as much sense to you as it does to me.

Linda,
it sounds like you've developed a general sensitivity to chemicals, whether it's the acrylic chemicals or the chemicals in polish or even the polish remover. my nails didn't start off being sensitive at first, but the longer i went with the acrylics the worse it became everytime. it's our body's way of telling us, over time, that it's had enough. the worse case scenario being a full blown infection. our nails were thinned down in the very beginning which doesn't provide a good base for anything, especially an acrylic mixture of potent chemicals. i suggest as soon as you receive the formula take off the clear, if not before. you might lose some to peeling or flaking in the beginning, but i believe they are doing that for a reason-so you can start with a clean slate. mine were just "beaten up" for a good month after i took off the acrylic. the peeling and transparency took a couple of weeks to stop, but the sensititivity in what was left of my nail beds and fingers, was much better after the first full week. i say, take off the clear, if you have some olive oil in the house, warm it up and massage it in until you receive your growth formula. your nail beds need moisture in any form right now. any more questions just ask.

Ok girls, thanks much.
I guess I'm going to 'bite the bullet' and remove it. Then, as long as I'm at it, I'm tossing all the nail junk I've collected over the long haul - it's just taking up precious realestate anyway!
I could use the drawer space for other things anyway! An earlier start on fall cleaning!

The really thin most sensitive nail is like wet newspapers just from washing my hands - I know it's just a matter of 'minutes' anyway before it's torn off.

... counting the days til my stuff comes ...
Linda

Ok - the polish is off (OUCH!) The nails are trimmed back as far as I given that 'growth' underneath, 14 bottles of polish - left over acrylic powder & liquid all gone!
H-m-m that felt good! (Giggle Giggle)

Barbara - it was so nice talking to you! Thank you for caring SO much about people. Thank you for the suggestion on the vitamin E. The worst cuticle still stings - but not as bad.

Since you haven't called back now, I'm assuming the problem has been resolved! Thanks again!

yeah, using remover was going to sting a bit-no way around it, but your nails are so much better off without the polish right now.

Linda,
Your assumption is correct...Everything is fine on this end. You keep a stiff upper lip about all of this and we will do all we can to get you through. If you need moral support you know where to find us. I looked at the shots of your nails. OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! OUCH!
My hubby cringed and shouted "OH, MY GOD!" Like to have scared the bejesus out of me. I had no idea he was looking over my shoulder when he passed by...
If you have any sensitivity to any of the products you are receiving....Hold off on using them until those sores are cleared up....I had no idea just how bad your poor fingers are....
May be you should be applying some Neosporin plus instead of vitamin e oil. And a Betadine,(spelling?)Wash would probably be of some benefit too.

Oh D-a-h! Why didn't I think of that! LOL!
I don't have any betadine but perhaps for tonight a very very mild warm salt water.

Neosporin I can do!

Sorry - didn't mean to cause a ruckus! They don't hurt near as much in the past couple hours since I took the polish off - and carefully washed that off!

It's just fun mixing up meat loaf with gloves on!
(The cold felt good though!)
