Subject: cream for under nail tip
Message: My mom says she used to have a cream that she would put under the tip of her nail and it would make it white, like a french manicure. Has anybody heard of this? Does anybody know where I could get it?

Message: there are white pencils, that i have seen, that are the same idea. drug stores, wal-mart, aisles where the nail polish and other nail supplies are found. i've never seen or heard of a cream before now.

Message: Pro Strong ( .com) has a product that does that.
It comes in a 'pen' for quick - use anywhere applications.
Incidentally I tried their stuff for hardening your nails. Touted as a cure all - didn't care for the continuous daily coats of 'stuff' to put on every day. Left my nails white and chalky looking when they got wet. Unlike the claim of instantly hardening, I couldn't tell any difference.

Message: Leticia - are you saying they grow curved down toward at the edges? That could be ingrown toenails - sometimes heredity, sometimes illfitting pointy shoes that apply pressure there. If you nail is hollow as in the top layer peeling off, you might suspect fungus and should see a podiatrist.
