Subject: Curved nails
Message: I used to bite the skin around the sides of my fingernails and, looking down on it, my thumbnail is not a level arc anymore. Also, looking at the nail head-on, one side of the nail is significantly higher than the other (the nail curves downward on one side) Does anyone know if the nail will eventually repair itself, or is there anything i can do to even it back out?

not really sure if it will repair itself and grow out evenly. sounds like you may have damaged the actual nail bed itself. you can give buffing a try. there are buffers you can find at any drug store that have 4 different, numbered textures starting with the roughest working up to the finest. be very careful and use very minimal pressure. heat can be built up quickly and you can easily thin the nail. the last step is a "shining" step that you can skip if you want. cuticle oil or the formula found on this site will help grow a healthier, stronger nail.

Message: Tim. I used to have same shape nails on my index fingers when I was younger. I don’t think it has anything to do with biting( seems like you quit, good for you). My fingernails were soft, bended easily. After shower they would have a normal shape, and then would return to their favorite.
You need to make your fingernails stronger. The nail growth formula sold on this site is the easiest way to make nails stronger. I can say that with full confidence. I start to use it not long time ago after removing acrylic. If you were browsing on this forum you already know what kind of damage women have after acrylic.
Give it a shot. It might fix your problem.
