Does anyone know if there is a place in connecticut that does the solar nails. A friend of mine lives in Texas and gets them and her nails are beautiful and look very natural. I wanted to find a place here in ct that does them. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!!!!!

DON'T DO IT. This sounds like the Light Concept Nails. See my earlier post. Sure they look beautiful, but I just had them removed two days ago. My real nails are thin, peeling and breaking down to the nub. My fingers are a bit sore. I am trying to restore my natural nails health. I will let you know how this product works!!!

Hi Kim,
The best form of help I can offer is that you concentrate your efforts on your own natural nails. Any topical treatment, no matter how "beautiful" they may appear, will damage the structure of the natural nails and create problems that far out weigh anything beneficial. In fact this site carries products dedicated to NATURAL NAILS, not acrylic, solar, get or anything else fake.....Natural....
Please reconsider your interest in the topical treatments and keep you own nails healthy and natural. You're much better off with beautiful, short natural nails than with problem provoking fakes.

I agree 100% with Barbara. You should not get any type of artificial nails. They will look great, but they will damage your nails and it can get pretty expensive because you have to pay high prices for new sets and fills. My cousins and one of my aunts complain that it hurts to get acrylics put on and that it'll ruin your nail beds. My aunt also got a really bad fungal infection from artificial nails. Whatever you do, DO NOT have any type of artificial nails put on.

Sorry but can i just but in here! Kim dont listen barbara or jessica. I can tell you from experience and very good training that enhancements do not cause any damage to the natural nail. If someone who has been badly trained and very poor at doing enhancements then they will certainly damage someones nails. I can honestly say go and find a nail tech that is of high standard and has lots of good training behind them and you will see the difference if your nails are looked after.

Read some of the posts here and all over the internet concerning the tragic end to natural nails because of those fake things!
You don't have to buy my products here, just use a bit of wisdom and do the research. INSTANT GRADIFICATION IS NOT THE ANSWER, IT IS THE PROBLEM... And most, though not all "nail techs" are just doing and saying as they are "instructed". The blind leading the blind. Nothing to do with healthy nails at all!

you're telling me that the natural nails are not roughed up with a file to provide adhesion, that a nail dehydrator is not brushed on to further dry out the nail bed, that acrylic powder and a monomer mixed together to form a bond-adhesion on the nail bed that's left, and then an acid primer, to top it all off, isn't bad for your nails, or whats left underneath? how in good conscious can you say that it doesn't cause ANY damage? you've got to be kidding. i don't care how much trainning you've had or how good or bad a nail tech you are, the same procedure is learned by everyone. every woman i have known in, lets say, the past five years, who has worn or tried to wear acrylics or any nail enhancement and had problems or just decided they had had enough of the cost and the amount of time required and took them off for whatever reason, found destroyed nails underneath. i went through this crap for 2 years. i did not go to any discount salons. i went to highly recommended, licensed nail techs, asked all the right questions, because i might be a lot of things, but uninformed is not one of them.
all i know is, if i came into your salon and asked you to sign a form stating that no damage would be done to my nails in this process, that i take care of them, and if i decided to have you remove them safely and my nails were not in the same condition as the day i had the enhancements applied and i had the right to sue you for damages if they were damaged, i imagine you wouldn't be quite "so encompassing" in saying that enhancements "cause no damage to the natural nail." your words.
once again, this is a natural nails forum-hence the subject at the top of this page. i'm tired of the lies and today is not a good day to take me on.
for everyone else with real nail problems, wanting to quit biting or looking to grow healthy, strong natural nails, i am here to answer. buy barbara's product or don't buy it. it's not why i'm here doing this.
Kim, i'm telling you, you will regret it and you will waste a lot of money. depend on yourself to grow you own strong nails, not somebody else's destroyed version.

Doesn't anyone else find it odd that the only people saying that "fakes" do not harm the natural nails are the people that are padding their pockets from selling the mess? Some people will say and do anything for money.

yeah,you are right, i wish i did find it odd and not so calculating, but it's just kind of sad that a lot of women, especially teenagers, are doing this to their nails without being told, or without their mothers knowledge or whoever, what lies underneath. we, as adult women, should have the knowledge to make an informed decision. teenagers and even younger girls are just sucked into it.

The biggest problem we have, in my humble opinion, is the fact that the "salons" and "nail techs" push this stuff with the full knowledge of the dangers..
It is a bit late in the game to claim ignorance to the facts about the dangers! Okay, we tried all of the fakes, and just like cigarettes, they are not telling what they know because it will eliminate the market.
Honesty is not their strong suite! And there are those that just will NOT hear the truth if it is not what they want to hear. So I have finally come to the conclusion that those that earnestly seek information, will listen to the conclusion drawn, and proven, and those just jacking their jaw will do the instant gratification route.
Taking care of yourself is your own responsibility, and the choices you make DO affect your health, so please learn before you leap into the sea of misinformation and out right lies.
