I recently put on fake nails because i always bit my nails and there ugly. I told the lady that did my nails i was allergic to acrylic nails, so she put on solar.Then the next day my nails started getting Very puffy and red and it hurt! so I took them off my self. Its been the next day and they havent changed its almost like there worse. Is there anything else i can do? thanks :)

it's all acrylic-solar, acrylic nails, most gels, fiberglass, silk-anymore you can come up with. acrylic powder and monomer-the liquid part-when you make the little ball of acrylic goo, goes over the top of most artifical nails. it and other factors such as thinning the nail bed before,are what causes the allergic reaction. when you told the nail tech that you were allergic to acrylic she was just so wrong in putting on acrylic anyway. that's unethical, and there's too many out there that will continue to do it and take your money. you're going to have to give your nails more than one day to heal from this. what they did to your nails before they put the fakes on is just as damaging as the the acrylics themselves. your own nail beds are weakened and thinned out and are going to be for a while. putting vitamin e or a good cuticle oil on them will help put some moisture back in. once you are allergic to them you will always be. please don't try it again. the reaction could be even worse and more painful. fake acrylics are not something to be taken lightly. they can do some serious damage, and what a waste of money for you.

Thank you so much for the information! ya im never doing this again!! but is it normal that my skin kinda under and at the point of my finger are all Puffy and bloody?

no it is not normal, but it is a bad allergic reaction to acrylic, acid primer, and making your nails thin and more prone to do this. keep them clean and try a light coat of neosporin creme on the worst parts. if you feel a throbbing sensation in them, then get to medical help. please don't put your self through this ever again no matter how tempting.
