use the nail growth cream for the first thirty days twice a day. the buffing cream and buffer should only be used when your nails are in good enough shape, not thin, to handle the back and forth motion of the grit and the buffer. i find once every 2 weeks is all i need to keep them shiny, and that's after 6 months of growing healthy nails. it's easy to overdo the buffer in the beginning.
