Subject: One half of my nail wont grow!
Message: I am a 35 year old male. I do dog grooming for a living, so my hands are in water ALL DAY LONG.
I used to bite my nails when i was a teen but not since my mid twenties. Anyway, Within the last year my right index finger has become stagnent! I just doesnt grow! it looks fine other than its extremely thin, and once the white tip of the nail begins to grow, it breaks and/or peels of almost imediately. THEN on my right thumb,,,, the right side of the nail grows as normal but the left side STAYS THE SAME LENGTH!!! As the right is still growing!! I know its not ware and tear cuz of the others grow as usual. They also have what appears to be little tiny "Speed bumps" virticlly across. But otherwise all other eight nails are very very strong. But an old girlfriend taught me how to give myself a manicure, so i do so once weekly. Please help!!!

Message: Evan,
being in water all day is what's making them this way. they need a water barrier to save them. the pits i would guess are a reult of the biting all those years. i still have them now after being a biter for many decades. the natural nails growth formula, found on this site, has lanolin in it to help in repelling water and other ingredients that help stimulate healthy growth and make them stronger. it sinks in quickly so there is no left-over greasy feeling. but when you wash your hands, or have your hands in water, you see the water just roll right off. it's the only product i've ever found that really works. just scroll down and go to the home and read about it.
