Message: All products that contain mineral oil can cause acrylic nails to lift. Suntan lotions, some cosmetics, and even some body lotions can cause your fake nails to lift. When they lift up, you have a good chance of getting a bacterial or fungal infection from it. You should be 100% sure that the suntan lotion does not contain mineral oil.

Message: A fake nail coming off is not a problem it it does not take the natural nail with it. Generally this will happen because of the bonding. If the natural nail is damaged, keep it clean and apply some Neosporin to cut down on the risk of infection.
