Subject: question about toenail growing back
Message: back in April both of my big toenails came off when I was playing basketball. Now the nailbeds on both toes are firm and pink. I was just wondering if that is an actual nail thats growing back, or if i should be looking for anything in particular. thanks ;)

Message: it probably is the beginning of a toe nail, but they can take as long as 6 months to grow back. it's best to keep them out of confining shoes for a while, if possible.

Message: toenails don't usually fall off for absolutely no reason. if it was a fungus, then it just doesn't go away. they are very difficult to get rid of by yourself. you should keep the nail bed moisturized, because, without a nail to protect it, it will dry out and crack. hard nails are definitely there for a reason. i would wait a while for polish. it's just going to delay growth of a new nail.
