Subject: Fingernails
Message: I heard that fingernails and teeth are the same and if you treat your fingernail with flouride they will become stronger. Does anyone know if this is true?

Message: that is not true. nails are made from keratin formed from amino acids. teeth are made from calcium, phosphorus, some mineral salts, dentine and and a shiny covering called enamel. nails and teeth are formed completely different and from different building blocks. flouride has no affect on nails. a well balanced diet, exercise, being "kind" to them, and keeping your nails moisturized will give you strong nails.

Message: Faye,
do you keep polish on them? if not, then i would try buffing them to get rid of the yellowing.
