Subject: Toenails peeling from cuticle
Message: I have two toenails, one on each side beside pinky toe, that are peeling from the cuticle. There is no discoloration or discomfort. I am thinking it is from the shoes that I wear. Any suggestions?

Message: they could be dehydrated or you could have a fungal infection. tight, damp shoes could be a problem also.

Message: I've just discovered the same problem, I started to peel the dead layer off, and now it looks terrible. Will it grow back normal? what should I do? Please help. thanks.

Message: it will grow back eventually, but you need to find out the cause. there could be quite a few reasons. it will probably keep on doing it.
