 Subject: Slammed door on finger

By accident of course and it squirted out tons of blood now the nail is cracked slightly (not completely, it still looks healthy) and the skin under the cutical is black and blue and my finger tip is decorated with dark red splotches under the skin.... should I do anything about it or just let it heal on it's own?

as long as the nail itself isn't detached from the nail bed then just leave it alone for now and keep an eye on the cracked part. if it starts lifting then you don't want to catch it on anything. hopefully, the blood under the nail will either re-absorb or grow out with the nail. the dark red splotches under the skin is just where the skin was pinched in the slamming of the door.
