Subject: Certain fingernails grow @ a slant all of a sudden
Message: Hi,
I'm 23 years old going on 24 next month. I stopped biting my nails 10 years ago. After I stopped, my nails grew just fine and perfectly straight and not slanted. Nice and pretty. But for the passed year, I've noticed that now they are growing slanted.
I don't wear fingernail polish nor fake nails. I never have. I like the natural bone shine after buffing them every now and then.
Out of the 10 fingers I have, my nails on the following fingers grow straight with no problems:
- Right and Left Thumb
- Right and Left Pinky
- Left index finger
- Left ring finger.
All the other fingernails are growing at a slant. And I don't understand why as they've never grown that way before.
What would be the cause of this and how can I get them to grow straight again; get back to normal?
Thanks,
Halima

Message: Halima,
i have no idea why they suddenly would be growing this way. maybe hereditary. don't buff them too much. there's nothing i know of or no trick to making them grow straight again. go see a qualified manicurist and maybe they can give you some ideas or file them in a certain way. maybe other people out here have gone through the same thing too.
