uv lights don't damage nails as far as i know. some top coats are uv activated in order to harden and dry quicker after a manicure and polish.

Are they UVA or UVB lights? Because one is safe and the other is known to cause skin damage. Which is why you don't stick you and into a light UV sterilizer that is on. Same reason you go brown while being in a suntan bed.

not really sure. have had them used on me after manicures to dry the polish for 5 minutes. can't imagine that would do much harm.
