I have use a brand of polish for years ,Theons.It use to be in supply shops in many colors ,it is one that after you put a top coat on it changes and brightens.I have had so many compliments on it and it last good.I can only find it in, red #5.It is a beautiful color but Id like to get some of the others that I use to get anyone know where ,I can get it?

Generally polish requires removal, and acetone is generally the base of the removal product! Bad move!
The paint itself will dry the nails, then the removal of the paint further damages the nails and cuticles. So be absolutely certain to use a rich moisture cream afterwards. Better you should not paint them. Just buff them to a nice natural shine and allow the beauty of your own natural nails to speak volumes.

Hi Cheryl,
I just don't know much about brands of polish! When I do use a polish, for special occasions, I just pick up Revlon or "cheaper yet", names I never heard of before. Then the things sit on my shelf until they dry all the way out and I toss them.

happy easter! sounds like a foreign brand to me. i always use OPI when i do a french manicure for special ocassions also, on myself-because i can now!!!! hope you're not having too bad of weather down there. i'll take my snow anyday-don't miss those tornado warnings at all!!

I understand that OPI is a fairly good product. Obviously plenty of folks out there are using it and spreading its' praises...Where do you purchase it from?

i feel the same way about heat and humidity that you feel about snow!! i find OPI at a day spa right here in my village and when i'm in buffalo at sally's beauty supply or trade secrets-in most malls. i also found a polish remover,when i do need it, online, at a herbal supply web site that has no chemicals in it. don't know HOW it works, but it does, and doesn't feel like i'm sucking all the moisture out of my fingers! i think i've polished my nails twice in the last 5 months though! just don't have a need to anymore. stay dry and safe.

I have only used Theon's #5 for years and years. A few years ago I walked into a Chinese supply shop and there was Theons#5 for .60 cents a bottle, I baught 10 bottles. Now I have 1/16th of a bottle left and I am going to that little chinese shop today to see if they still carry it.

I've never heard of this stuff but for that price you can't go wrong. Since I'm so much into nailpolish (although I may be faltering from what you ladies are telling me) I love to hear about everything. My only problem is that I want to find a non-acetone nailpolish remover now. Last night I found some ProStrong nailpolish remover and put it down the toilet. Never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
