Subject: Bubbles in polish
Message: I have a delimma. Whenever I polish my nails, the polish get tiny little bubble in it. It doesn't seem to matter what polish I use, or how I prep the nail. Do you have any ideas why this is occurring? My manicurist has the same problem with my nails. Please let me know asap, as I have an appt with my manicurist tomorrow noon. Thanks for your help.

Message: The only thing I can conceive that may be going on is that you must shake your polish with great enthusiasm. This will put the air bubbles in the polish. You would have to wait quite some time for them to rise and leave the polish. By then, the purpose will have been defeated.
Try rolling your polish gently. Not end over end, but hold the bottle at the top and bottom and make the paint roll in the bottle. I hope this works, but I strongly recommend no polish, as the chemicals contained in removers strip the natural nutrients and oils from the nail.
Let me know what happens on this I can pass this on to others if the need arises.

Message: There are many things that can cause polish to bubble.
1) painting too thick a coat
2) not waiting long enough between first and subsequent coats for polish to dry
3) having lotion or oil on your nails, even in a small amount, before polishing them
4) as Barbara mentioned, shaking the bottle
5) using a "quick dry" formula (these are notorious for bubbling, streaking, and generally not looking smooth
