Subject: Horrible Hangnails!!!
Message: Hello. For the past few months I have noticed that my cuticals have become increasingly more dry, despite all the lotions, oils, and night creams I have used on them. This dryness has turned into really bad peeling, hardness, and hangnails. Any ideas on how to fix this nasty little problem?

Message: Leslie,
i know i'm in danger of sounding like a broken record, but quit wasting money on creams, lotions and oils. they do nothing to lock in the moisture long after you've applied them. that's their secret-having to use it over and over and over. most contain chemicals and mineral oil which end up drying your nails even more. try the growth formula from this site. i use it, i've used it 5 months now, and my nails are healthy, growing and NEVER dry. it works and you can go read how.

Message: Leslie,
hangnails are basically caused from your cuticle hardening and splitting. One of the best things you can do to help your hangnails is to get a manicure from a reputable nail techician. I'm not saying that you have to get manicures all the time, but since you already have a problem, why not let the professionals take care of them for you right now. Once you have them under control, push your cuticles back after a bath or shower. Put a towel over your nails and gently push them back. There are a few oils and balms that I love - and they do help.

i recently had a hangnail. and it was hurting cause the bottom part wanted to come off but the top was still attached. usually if it doesnt hurt i let it take care of itself and it always goes away. but i tried taking it off with a nail cutter and one of those manicure scissors (sp?). most of it came off, but just a little snipett is still there (but not sticking out like hangnails do), it doesnt hurt anymore, but im scared it could turn into a ingrown nail. what should i do to prevent it???

Message: I agree with Cheryl that the Nail Growth Formula sold on this site
truly hydrates the nail and cuticle. I've been on it for a few weeks
and am thrilled with how hydrated my nails are, there is a nice
sheen, and the moisturization does not wear off when you wash
your hands. For years my nails have been dry and I've faithfully
put on various nail oils, cuticle creams, etc. every night, but my
nails would be dry again within minutes or hours. The Nail
Growth Formula has been the only product I've used (and I've
probably tried almost everything out there) that has made a
difference.
The dryness has always been in my nails, not my cuticles, so my
story is different than yours, but I believe that the product
hydrates both the cuticle and the nail so I would recommend it.

Message: Jill,
What actually happens, is that it allows the natural moisture in the nails to remain sealed in and the unnecessary water from penetrating and weakening the structure. It provides moisture initially then balances and locks it in.....Things other than the Lanolin provide other benefits, like the wintergreen, which relieves pain in some small measure, and is an antiseptic. The beeswax provides extra moisture barrier protection as it holds the formula together after the "cooking" process.
WINTERGREEN-Medicinal & Aromatherapy use: Antiseptic, a diuretic, stimulant, emenagogue and anti- rheumatic. It is very useful in many rheumatic conditions for gout and stiffness due to old age. It also revitalizes and gives energy following muscular pains, particularly good for athletes for instance.

Message: Hi Leslie,
I can totally relate with your cuticle problem. Nothing I tried worked on mine. They were dry, ugly, and they tore all the time. Little hangy things here and there that I would pick at. I tried a high end product and several drugstore products and the problem persisted. I started using the Natural Nail Growth Formula found on this site and after 1 day noticed a real improvement. I've been using it now for a couple months and wouldn't be without it. My cuticles look great, my nails are growing faster than they ever have and they just look healthy!
I hope you'll give NGF a try. I believe you'll find the improvement you're looking for.
