Subject: removing silk wraps
Message: I am aware that you have to soak wraps in order to remove them. Just not sure what to soak them in and for how long. Is this something I can do at home on my own, or do nail salons have a special formula?

Message: pure acetone, or acetone nail polish remover. it may be silk in the application, but acrylic is in there too. acetone will melt it off. moisturize afterwards.

Message: Wow, thank you. I was debating a refill today, but my nails have been so sore lately. I'm just not good w/ the artificial nails. I thought silk wraps would be better than the tips, but they're not -- they're just thinner.

Message: heather,
sore is not a good sign. your own nails have been thinned out and are telling you to remove the acrylic and let them heal. i had them quite a few years ago and my nail beds took months to recover. they were all nice and consistent, but what was going on underneath was just a shame.
