I am wondering about getting acrylics. I have flimsy nails on my father's side but excellent strong ones on my mother's. I am in volleyball teams and very serious about it. To the young lady who can't stop biting her nails, I have been a nail biter for most of my life, but I have recently stopped and when I do I get compliments on how pretty they look. What you need to do is pamper them by using some type of moisturizing nail product every night and telling yourself whenever you get the urge to bite--OOPS I'M DOING IT AGAIN--STOP! And another tip bitten nails grow quicker than regular nails because of all the blood-flow to your nailbeds from the biting. Great web site with easy to access information. Unfortunately, I just purchased some nail care products from Barille the other day in desperation to find something for my nails. I'm writing with a complaint. I started using your nail care system a month or two ago, and lately I've had trouble getting my Natural Nails cream out of the jar -- MY NAILS HAVE GROWN SO LONG AND STRONG THAT THEY DIG INTO THE CREAM!! Seriously, I am amazed at the improvement in the condition of my nails. I always had pretty good, strong nails. Then about two years ago they just started to fall apart. Maybe because of a combination of building a house (lots of paints and thinners, scrubbing, and hard work), and taking antibiotics. I tried everything (including acrylics, which I hated), but they chipped, peeled, and got softer. Now they look and feel great, no polish required! Thanks for the site about finger nails (& toe nails). It is important to keep nails clean and trimmed. My cousin Stanley had a jagged toe nail and got it caught in the carpet and ripped it out at the roots. Also, don't bite your finger nails or you might chip a tooth, BELIEVE ME. Thanks.
